MicroStart is a hybrid control unit between the simple
on/off control and the more advanced stepless control system for rotating heat exchangers.

The control unit combines small dimensions with large capacity, and is very easy to fit and commission.

MicroStart is intended for rotors with a diameter of up
to 1 500 mm.

Standard delivery includes an enclosed control unit, but can be supplied in a customised format.

Function description
MicroStart, IP54 enclosure, is a control unit for 1-phase motors. The motor condenser can be fitted to the control unit. MicroStart has a built-in soft start/soft stop function to spare the motor and gearbox. They also have the extra functions needed to in an simple manner control a rotating heat exchanger.

Incoming signal 0-10 V
MicroStart has a pause/run-time function that is controlled by the incoming signal, with a total cycle time of 60 seconds. Depending on the incoming signal level the relation between pause and run-time is changed. If the incoming signal is less than the set threshold value of 0.5 V the rotor is stopped. MicroStart has built-in incoming signal shift, which means that the rotor's degree of efficiency is proportional to the incoming signal.

Cleaning function
MicroStart has a built-in cleaning function. When the rotor has stopped for 45 minutes, the cleaning function is activated and the rotor then rotates for 10 seconds.

Rotation monitor
MicroStart has a built-in rotation monitor. A magnetic sensor with a built-in hall element and associated magnet is connected to the control unit. The control unit trips unless a pulse is received every 5 minutes.

Alarm
The control unit trips in the event of a tripped thermal switch in the motor.

Test
There is a DIP switch for manual run.
